Dr. Davenport began her training as a Registered Nurse, earning her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Nursing from Duke University, followed by a Doctorate Degree in Cardiac Physiology from George Washington University.

Dr. Davenport was a professor at The American University for 10 years and heavily involved in research at the NIH prior to returning to George Washington University for medical school. Following her Residency in Internal Medicine, Dr. Davenport completed a Fellowship in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and has received additional training in Peripheral Vascular Intervention.

Dr. Davenport lives in Chevy Chase where she and her husband raised five children. She has offices in Northwest Washington, D.C. and maintains medical staff privileges at Georgetown University Hospital, George Washington University Hospital, Washington Hospital Center, Sibley Memorial Medical Center, Suburban Hospital and the National Rehabilitation Hospital.

Verl Woolsey began his training as an EMT in Portland, Oregon before coming to the DC area for the George Washington University Physician Assistant Program. He has been with us ever since.

Even though he is still in the begining years of his career as a PA, you will be amazed by the level of care you will recieve from him. If you are accustomed to Dr Davenport's compassion and breadth of knowledge, then you will leave equally satisfied with Verl. He brings with him a love of service and an amazing ability to teach in a way you'll understand. Patients absolutely love Verl because they leave feeling like they understand their disease process.

Verl is a proud husband and father of 2 boys. He is an Eagle Scout, and participates in several local and national organizations.
